Spring Cleaning Your Plumbing

When it comes to your spring cleaning your home’s plumbing fixtures you want them to look stylish, to work well and to be completely clean.

And, when asked what your dirtiest plumbing fixture is you would most likely say your toilet, but that isn’t the case! Your kitchen sink and bathroom shower head are more likely to be germ covered and bad for your health!

Cleaning The Kitchen Sink

The problem?
Your kitchen sink sees a lot of action, all day long. From rinsing off raw chicken to storing dirty dishes to getting wiped down with a (yikes!) very dirty & germ filled sponge, your sink doesn’t really stand a chance of staying clean.

Clean the kitchen sink at least once a day with a cleaner that is specifically made for disinfecting the kitchen.

Cleaning The Shower Head

The problem?
We shower to get clean…but how clean is the shower head that is spraying water onto us?

The solution?
Your shower head needs to be thoroughly cleaned regularly – once a month at a minimum. To clean it, simply fill up a plastic bag with equal parts vinegar & water, secure it around the shower head and let it soak anywhere from 4 hours to overnight. For a deeper clean, dismantle the shower head and soak all of the parts in the same vinegar/water solution.
